Én nem vagyok tagja egyetlen egyháznak sem, de néha akadnak templomi programok, amelyeket érdemes támogatni. Ezen a rendezvényen például mindenképpen ott leszek, mert nemes gesztus, mert szép, mert közösségépítő... :)
"The service, entitled ‘Christian Caring in the
Community’, is open to all sections of the community and the Forum would
like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to everyone to
attend. There are many people in our local community who are involved in
the caring field and the Forum would like to acknowledge the compassion
and consideration they show to others. Many of our paid workers go
beyond the call of duty and many of our unpaid carers work tirelessly to
care for sick and elderly relatives.
Speaking about the service,
co-chair of the Churches’ Forum, Fr Joe Gormley, said “The members of
the Forum want to show the local community that we recognise the
valuable work that those in the caring field do on a day-in, day-out
basis. We are truly indebted to them and the way that they carry out
their caring roles in such a sensitive way. We want you to know that you
are not alone, that we are with you and that Christ is always with
you.”
Church Unity Week is an annual event which takes place this year
from the 18 – 25 January. The theme this year is “Is Christ Divided?” It
is hoped that this service will highlight how Christ is not divided in
our district. It will provide an opportunity for all Christians to come
together and pray together."
